Deaf Abused Women

It's that time of year again. I never forget it. Five years
ago on July 22nd, I made the decision to leave my abusive
husband. Five years ago on August 3rd, I managed the escape and
moved to a women's shelter in Ohio until it was safe for me to go
to my parents house. The memories and emotions will always be
with me.

A few days ago, I re-posted a blog from last year about abused
women being just like everyone else. At the end of the blog, I
included information on where to go for help. Now I'd like to
add to that resource. This list is specifically for abused deaf
and deaf-blind people. Even if you are deaf, there is help out
there for you. Contact one of these organizations. And always
remember that you are not alone.
