Summer's End
The silence is deafening as I sit in my house. The emptiness
engulfs me. I'm alone in a ghost-town.
Where are the children? I miss the laughter and yelling. Gone are
the sounds of the TV blaring and explosions from video game. The
rooms are stale. Scents of mini-pizzas, cookies and chips no
longer hang in the air.
Another summer has come to an end. My greatest treasure is in the
trust of an institution of learning. I have nothing but time and
loads of laundry. Oh, summer's end...
